Job Introduction
We’re looking for a Learning and Development Lead who lives and breathes leadership development. You’ll design the practical stuff that helps managers and leaders level up fast — from first time managers to experienced senior leaders. Think clear career pathways, hands-on programmes and coaching. You’ll champion high support and high challenge, keep it human (plain English, zero fluff) and use insight to prove what lands — so people grow, teams thrive and customers feel the difference.
As our Learning and Development Lead, you’ll turn curiosity into action: spot the need, design the fix, coach the behaviour and prove the difference with insight. If you love that moment when learning clicks — and you’ve got the craft to make it happen again and again — we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
- Build a joined-up leadership offer that serves first-time managers through to senior leaders — practical workshops, coaching, peer learning and digital nudges people actually use on the job.
- Upskill managers and leaders to lead with high support and high challenge — confident conversations, clear feedback, performance and coaching habits that stick.
- Create clear career pathways and skills frameworks so colleagues know what great looks like next — and how we’ll back them to get there.
- Coach 1:1 and in groups, growing capability, confidence and momentum across teams.
- Partner with business areas to gather learning needs and use data and feedback to diagnose needs, test ideas and show impact.
- Lead and develop L&D Trainers, giving direction and support so great learning lands across your business areas.
- Embed conduct and competency standards and keep us right with the regulator - simple, human and lived every day.
- Supercharge onboarding so every new starter has a flying start and knows how to grow here.
- Champion inclusion, design accessible learning where everyone can thrive and progress.

What you’ll bring:
- Proven track record designing and delivering leadership development that changes behaviour and performance.
- Hands-on at upskilling managers and leaders, 1:1 and group coaching, confident with high support / high challenge conversations.
- Career pathways pro help build clear skills frameworks people actually use to progress.
- Ability to influence at all levels, partnering well with senior leaders and teams.
- Clear, engaging communicator and facilitator using plain English, great sessions, confident across live, virtual and digital learning.
- Data savvy — use insight and feedback to diagnose needs, measure impact and iterate fast.
- Positive challenger, you’ll be curious, solutions focused and ready to improve “how we do things” with practical fixes.

- Experienced Learning and Development Lead or Manager ideally, you’ll have 5 years under your belt at this level, working in fast pace, highly complex and regulated environments.
It’s a bonus if you’ve got a professional coaching or management qualification alongside experience in utilising psychometric tools such as Lumina—but what matters most is your drive to make it happen and your alignment with our values.

This a full-time permanent opportunity with a salary of up to £51.611 per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.
