Join Yorkshire Housing as our new HR Administrator!

Are you passionate about people, organisation, and making a real difference every day? We’re looking for a People Operations Administrator to join our People and Culture team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our colleagues, managers, and candidates, helping us deliver a proactive and customer-focused service.

Psst, you’ve not clicked on the wrong role, we advertised the role as a ‘HR Administrator’ to help us get in front of the right people with relevant experience, but at Yorkshire Housing, we call our HR services ‘People Operations’.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the onboarding process for new colleagues, including pre-employment and right to work checks.
  • Keeping employment records up to date and making sure everything’s accurate and compliant.
  • Helping with payroll, benefits, and reward administration.
  • Assisting with recruitment, from posting vacancies to managing candidate communications via email or phonecall.
  • Being the first point of contact for queries, taking ownership and making sure everyone gets the support they need.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in administration, ideally in a busy, customer-focused environment.
  • Brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for delivering excellent service.
  • Passion for providing excellent colleague and candidate experience.
  • Strong IT skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Great communication skills and a team player mindset.

 

It’d be a bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Cascade or eBIS.
  • Previous HR administration or generalist experience.

 

Important stuff:

This a full-time permanent opportunity with a salary of £26,509.29 per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.

FYI – we don’t tend to do things the ‘traditional’ way here, so expect a immersive assessment process!
