We’re on the lookout for a driven, forward-thinking talent specialist to join us as our new Recruitment Advisor. We have 2 roles available - a 12 month and 9 month FTC. You can probably already tell that we’re not your typical housing provider! With around 20,000 homes (and more in the pipeline), we’re on track with our growth plan to build 8,000 new homes across the region.

What will I be doing? 

As our Recruitment Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of delivering an exceptional recruitment experience for both our external and internal customers. You’ll manage the end to end process and your role will be pivotal in identifying, attracting, and selecting the best talent, while working closely with hiring managers to design and execute innovative recruitment campaigns. We’ve broken down some key responsibilities here:

 

Stakeholder Management: Partner with hiring managers across the business, leading recruitment briefings and creating tailored plans for each vacancy, including timelines, advertising strategies, and assessment methods.

Market knowledge: Add value by using your market knowledge and trends to offer creative recruitment solutions that align with business needs.

Inclusivity: Develop and implement inclusive assessment methods, ensuring our recruitment processes reflect our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Champion our values: Be the custodian of our values, helping our hiring managers to make the right hiring decisions, as the expert challenging when needed and being the voice of reason.

Training: Provide training and coaching to hiring managers, helping to elevate their recruitment skills and ensure a seamless candidate experience.

System: Use the ATS)to manage all recruitment steps, from advertising and shortlisting to interviews and new starter processes, while also exploring talent pools.

 

What do you need from me?

The answer is simple, if you’re driven with can do attitude then we want to hear from you! You’ll be joining a forward-thinking team that’s all about making recruitment a great experience for everyone. The below would also be great:

  • A track record of running top-notch end-to-end recruitment campaigns, from writing killer job ads to sourcing and assessing talent.
  • Experience in directly recruiting candidates through various channels, including headhunting and building internal talent pools.
  • Confidence in managing agency relationships and leading the charge when extra support is needed.
  • A good grasp of different assessment tools, with a knack for convincing managers to try new, more effective methods.
  • Experience using recruitment software, particularly ATS, with the ability to dig into data and make informed decisions.
  • A solid understanding of employment law in the recruitment space, and a desire to keep learning more.
  • Killer time management skills—you’ll be juggling a few balls, but you’ve got it under control.
  • The ability to build strong relationships and trust with everyone you work with, plus the confidence to coach and challenge hiring managers when needed.
  • A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and willing to take the plunge with new ideas
