Colleague Experience Coordinator

Job Introduction

At Yorkshire Housing, we believe that work should feel like more than just… well, work. It should feel like belonging. Like being part of something bigger. Like making a difference—not just in what you do, but in how people feel.

That’s why we’re looking for a Colleague Experience Coordinator to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract—someone who’s passionate about people, community, and creating moments that matter.

This role is all about connection. You’ll be the friendly face behind the scenes (and sometimes front and centre!) helping to shape a culture where colleagues feel supported, celebrated, and inspired. From championing wellbeing and inclusion to helping deliver our Charity of the Year events, you’ll be a key player in making Yorkshire Housing a brilliant place to work.

What you’ll be getting up to:

Building a brilliant colleague experience

  • You’ll be the go-to person for making our hubs feel welcoming, inclusive, and full of positive energy.
  • You’ll help colleagues feel connected—whether they’re popping in for a meeting, joining a hybrid event, or just grabbing a cuppa.
  • You’ll support onboarding, engagement activities, and wellbeing initiatives that help people thrive.

 Bringing people together

  • You’ll help plan and deliver events that bring our values to life—from team socials to all-colleague gatherings.
  • You’ll play a key role in our Charity of the Year programme—coordinating fundraising activities, supporting events, and helping us make a real impact in our communities.
  • You’ll be a connector—linking up with teams across People, IT, and Facilities to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Listening, learning, and improving

  • You’ll be the eyes and ears of our hubs—spotting what’s working, what’s not, and sharing ideas to make things even better.
  • You’ll gather feedback, support internal comms, and help shape how we evolve our spaces and experiences to meet colleagues’ needs.

Here’s what magic you’ll bring to this role:

  • A genuine passion for people and for creating inclusive, engaging environments.
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, events, or community engagement—whatever your background, it’s your attitude that counts.
  • Super-organised with a great eye for detail—you care about the little things that make a big difference.
  • A proactive, can-do mindset—you’re the kind of person who sees something that needs doing and just gets stuck in.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle—you’ll be out and about supporting our hubs and colleagues across Yorkshire.

Why you’ll love it here:

At Yorkshire Housing, we’re not just about homes—we’re about people, purpose, and possibility. We live by our values:

  • Create trust – Be honest, open, and do what you say.
  • Be curious – Ask questions, think differently, and keep learning.
  • Make it happen – Own it, do it, and be empowered.
  • Achieve impact – Do things that matter and show pride in what you do.
  • Have fun – Be yourself, enjoy work, and stay connected.

We’re building a culture where everyone feels welcome, supported, and free to be themselves. And we’re serious about equality, diversity, and inclusion—because we know we’re better when we reflect the communities we serve. If you’re passionate about people, love bringing energy to everything you do, and want to help shape a workplace and colleague experience where everyone feels they belong—we’d love to hear from you.

The important bits:

This a full-time (35hours per week), 12 month fixed term contract with a salary of £30,218.12 per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.
