Job Introduction

The opportunity

Yorkshire Housing is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to join our Technology, Insight, and Change Directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, developing, integrating, managing and maintaining all infrastructure within the organisation. You'll ensure smooth transitions of new infrastructure and services into BAU support, maintaining optimal performance and security while delivering upgrades and enhancements in a controlled environment.

You will work closely with third-party software suppliers, providing critical support for both operational environments and the Change Portfolio. Your expertise will ensure a seamless transition of changes into operations, and you will play a key role in major technology incident recovery and disaster recovery planning, ensuring business continuity.

As an integral part of our team, you will engage in horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies and phase out redundant systems contributing to a culture of continuous improvement across Yorkshire Housing. You will also provide third-line support and guidance to end users, develop knowledge base articles, and execute maintenance routines to ensure infrastructure stability, data integrity, and security.

Effective communication and collaboration are crucial in this role. You will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, business information system providers, and third-party organisations. Additionally, you will provide specialist technical support to the Portfolio Delivery Team, ensuring that architectural designs are translated into operational infrastructure.

A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required for this position due to potential call-outs. If you are a forward-thinking professional with a passion for technology and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply!

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for current and future tenants to have a place they’re proud to call home.

We’re a dynamic and innovative housing provider. We’ve got big growth plans (8,000 more homes in the next 8 years to be exact) and we need the right people in the right roles to make it happen.

Sounds good? Here’s what we need from you…

We’re looking for a technically certified professional or someone with equivalent experience. You should have a strong background in providing technical expertise and guidance for complex change portfolios, along with hands-on experience in BAU operations, administration, maintenance and infrastructure support. We would like experience in 3rd line support and someone who is proficient with MS Office products and also skilled in Azure Cloud infrastructure management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must! Not everyone understands technical language!

It would be a real bonus if you have worked in a structured ITIL-aligned culture and / or you have an ITIL Foundation qualification. Full details and requirements can be found on the attached job description.

What’s in it for you

In return,  we offera salary of £45,020 per annum for a 35 hour week, 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.

We also work (truly) flexibly, and believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go.

But that’s not all. We offer a reward package to suit everyone. At YH, you can claim back for prescriptions, eye tests and more with our cash plan, make the most of a variety of retail discounts and take advantage of our pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%, just to name a few.

Our people’s health and wellbeing is one of our top priorities, and you can make the most of our readily available wellbeing support package. This includes access to a library of free fitness classes, as well as an instant My GP service and free counselling sessions with a trained professional.

So, now you’re really interested?

At YH, we’re actively building a work environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where everyone can contribute their best work and be themselves. We believe difference is what makes us stronger and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities we serve, so we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds for this role.

If you require additional support with your application, please contact our recruitment team via email to recruitment@yorkshirehousing.co.uk

The fine print

The closing date for applications will be the 4 September with 1st stage interviews taking place 11 & 12 September.

If you’re applying for this role internally, you must inform your current Line Manager.
