We have a fantastic opportunity to join us as a Commercial and Residential Coordinator Apprentice. You’ll be part of a great team who deliver a range of services across a growing portfolio of properties including privately rent homes, homeowners, commercial tenants and non-residential assets such as garages.

How much? 

We pay up to £17,290 per annum (dependant on experience) as well as 25 days annual leave.  

We offer a fantastic pension scheme and will match your contribution up to 9%.

When? 

You’ll work a 35-hour week, and your contracted hours will be between Monday – Friday. 

As part of this role, you’re expected to attend college one day a week or for block release and complete the required assignments, along with any associated tests.

You’ll play a key part and learn to manage and respond to queries from our customers about buying and selling their homes and guide them through the process.  

 

What you’ll be doing 

As a Commercial and Residential Property Apprentice, you’ll work across the team building and developing skills in property management and homeownership services in both a commercial and housing association environment.  

You’ll manage communication and liaise with external companies and contractors about our commercial arrangements including the payment of invoices, account management and contractual requirements and also play an important role in making sure we hold accurate records on our customers, our properties and our cases. 

On top of this you’ll be attending college and passing all your related coursework and exams to gain your Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.  

 

You’ll be speaking to a lot of Yorkshire Housing customers. So, respectful, warm, and professional communication is a key part of this role.

We’re looking for people who can tick most of these boxes –  

  • GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths and English 
  • Eagerness to develop own skills and adapt to change.   
  • Organised with good attention to detail 
  • Good and adaptable communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding 
  • Keenness to look for ways to solve problems 
  • Personal values and approach that align with YH’s values 
  • Ability to work flexibly in line with Hub, Home and Roam principles.

The fine print 

The closing date for applications will be the 17/04/2024 - but we might close it early if we get lots of fab candidates, so don’t hang around. As this role is an apprenticeship, it’s a 20-month fixed contract, but once your fully qualified we’d work with you to secure you an opportunity with us at Yorkshire Housing as we know good talent when we see it!
