Job Introduction
Are you looking for an exciting leadership opportunity in the social housing sector? We’re building a brand-new team and seeking a motivated, experienced surveyor to lead ambitious programmes of work. You’ll be at the forefront of managing stock condition assessments, energy performance certificates, and more, ensuring top-tier data quality, performance, and budget control. If you're tech-savvy, passionate about sustainability and decarbonisation, and eager to shape and establish a new Surveying team, this could be just what you are looking for.
We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!
What we’re all about
You can probably already tell that we’re not your typical housing provider! With around 20,000 homes (and more in the pipeline), we’re on track with our growth plan to build 8,000 new homes across Yorkshire.
We’re dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences along the way and are on a mission to build a culture that prioritises excellence, innovation, and customer obsession.

What will you be doing?
It’s essential that our surveying journey is agile and responsive to the needs and expectations of our customers. In this role, you’ll explore how smart technology, environmental sensors, and data from across the organisation can shape the future of surveying. By leveraging these tools, you'll help facilitate a proactive, pre-emptive surveying programme that stays ahead of the curve and delivers the best possible outcomes for our communities.
You’ll also be:
- Managing and delivering a programme of approximately 5,000 stock condition surveys per year.
- Ensuring HHSRS hazards are identified, logged, and addressed promptly.
- Delivering EPCs to various internal teams, including empty homes, sustainability, and asset intelligence.
- Designing a surveyor development matrix to ensure the team is skilled and prepared for changes in regulations.
- Producing reports and performance data to support future investment and decarbonisation programmes across the portfolio.
- Delivering surveying projects on an exception basis when needed.
- Ensuring survey forms are thorough and capture the necessary information for future investment, decarbonisation, and regulatory compliance.
You’ll be travelling across Yorkshire regularly, visiting a range of sites and ensuring all surveying activities are completed to the highest standards. As you drive through Yorkshire’s stunning views and scenic landscapes, your daily commute will be far from ordinary. Since the role involves frequent travel, having access to a vehicle and holding a valid UK driving license is essential.
