Job Introduction
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Repairs Team Leader to join our Swarcliffe PFI team in Leeds. If you’re a people-first leader who knows a thing or two about responsive repairs, empty homes and planned maintenance, this could be the opportunity for you.
This isn’t just any leadership role – it’s a chance to shape a service that really makes a difference. You’ll be managing a brilliant team of Trade Operatives, Planners and Surveyors, making sure our clients customers’ homes are safe, well-maintained and somewhere they’re proud to live. From handling complex repairs to managing planned works and voids, to supporting your team and getting stuck into workforce planning – you’ll be right at the heart of it all. You can check out the full role profile for all the details!
You’ll lead by example when it comes to health and safety, customer service, and doing things the right way – not the easy way. You’ll also take ownership of complaints, find ways to improve what we do, and help make sure we hit our targets under the Swarcliffe PFI contract.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need solid experience in property maintenance and management, strong leadership skills, and the confidence to work with different teams and contractors. You’ll be great at juggling priorities, solving problems on the go, and using IT systems to keep everything on track. A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential too.
In return, you’ll get £50,000 plus a £2,000 car allowance per year, 26 days holiday (rising to 31 with service), flexible working, and a top-notch benefits package. That includes a health cash plan (covering things like prescriptions and eye tests), retail discounts, and a pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%.
We’ve also got loads of wellbeing support – from free fitness classes and instant GP access, to confidential counselling sessions. Plus, there are loads of opportunities to grow your skills and develop your career with us.
At YH, we’re actively building a working environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where everyone can contribute their best work and be themselves. We believe difference is what makes us stronger and recognise the importance of our teams reflecting communities we serve, so we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds for this role.
So, if you fancy leading a team that’s passionate about doing great work for our customers, don’t hang about! Applications close 11th May 2025, but we might close early if we find the right person.
