We’re on the lookout for 2x Resource Planning Team Leaders to join our Repairs Business Support team to manage a team of resource planners who ensure that our frontline colleagues are deployed effectively across our services. You’ll work together and closely with other managers and key stakeholders to analyse performance data, identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.

In your new role, you’ll help us deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency to ensure our customers are living in a safe, comfortable home. A vital cog in the Yorkshire Housing machine, you’ll ensure the team run as smooth as possible! Our Repairs Business Support team is made up of 3 teams, Resource Planning, Repairs Coordination & Compliance Coordination, and they’re all a friendly bunch who strive for excellence and the best outcomes for our customers!

What will you be doing?

You’ll be responsible for managing a team of resource planners who ensure that the repairs service is delivered efficiently and effectively. You will oversee the scheduling and allocation of work, monitor the performance and productivity of your team and the operatives, and liaise with customers and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service. 

You’ll coach, mentor and develop your team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles to a high standard. Also, you’ll be navigating and leading on our cultural growth within the team who have gone through significant change recently and encouraging personal growth and development. 

No day will be the same, and you’ll be managing multiple challenges and competing priorities, you’ll also be a point of escalation and deputising for the Repairs Business Support Manager and other leaders in your space. 

Who are we looking for? 

  • A natural leader, you’ll be comfortable delegating workload and providing clear direction for your team.
  • Someone who thrives in change, the service is constantly evolving and you’ll be a really big part of that!
  • You’ll have an in depth understanding of repairs and maintenance and will have worked in a similar role.
  • Ideally, you will have already managed a team who provide a front line service (or similar!)
  • You’ll be proactive and solution focused and not easily overwhelmed by competing priorities!
  • A strong communicator, you’ll be able to strengthen and build relationships with other areas of the business and be able to comfortable escalate situations and act on feedback.
  • You’ll adopt and be passionate about our ‘one team approach’ and get stuck in to ensure we’re providing a customer obsessed service.
  • Excellent attention to detail – you won’t miss a beat!
  • You’ll be a real people person, and are passionate about doing the right thing not the easy thing.
