Job Introduction
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as 'just' a housing provider, but we're so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage over 20,000 homes across Yorkshire and help create places people are proud to call home, but we're also committed to making a positive difference in people's lives.
Keeping our customers safe is one of our highest priorities. That's why we're looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Resource Planning Manager to lead the planning, performance and compliance support functions that underpin our Mechanical & Electrical services.
This is a key operational leadership role, ensuring our gas, electrical and compliance programmes are effectively planned, monitored and delivered within statutory and organisational timescales.
Leading a team of Senior Resource Planners, Resource Planners and Access Officers, you'll play a critical role in driving operational performance, managing compliance risk and ensuring the business has confidence in the data, systems and processes that support safe service delivery.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Head of Mechanical & Electrical, you'll lead a high-performing planning function responsible for coordinating compliance activities, servicing programmes and operational support services across Yorkshire Housing (inclusive of empty homes, planned works and responsive repairs).
You'll provide leadership and direction to your team, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and excellent customer service. You'll support and develop colleagues to perform at their best while ensuring workloads, priorities and resources are managed effectively.
Working closely with operational managers and stakeholders across the business, you'll help ensure compliance activities are delivered efficiently, risks are identified and escalated appropriately, and performance targets are achieved.
A significant part of the role involves leading on compliance performance, governance and assurance. You'll oversee critical compliance data, reporting and audit trails, ensuring information is accurate, visible and supports effective decision-making across the service.
You'll also champion service improvement, reviewing processes, systems and ways of working to improve efficiency, strengthen compliance controls and enhance the customer experience. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges and making a tangible impact on service delivery.
Already feel this is the role for you? There's plenty more detail available in the Role Profile.
