Job Introduction
We’re on the lookout for a motivated Resource Planner to join our Business Support team, and support our Repairs teams to provide an outstanding service to our customers.
Based at our Swarcliffe offices, you’ll be part of our Swarcliffe PFI who provide quality and efficient services on the Swarcliffe PFI Contract. It’s a role with meaning, so you’ll be making a real difference to customers’ lives with what you do.

A vital cog in the wheel, the Resource Planner will plan, schedule and manage our Repairs operatives diaries and our materials, always ensuring supply meets customer demand, service targets and value for money. This role will support excellence in all aspects of customer experience across the teams, by embedding good practice and identifying areas for improvement in services.

What you’ll be getting up to
You’ll be delivering agile and efficient diary management for your teams, factoring in real time changes or any unforeseen events to limit any impact to customers.
With your understanding of the varied repairs and maintenance works undertaken by our teams and the associated materials, you’ll be able to coordinate resources and sub-contractors too.
You’ll be working with operatives and their team leaders to ensure they are achieving their daily work schedules along with understanding the skill sets of operatives and our geography, so IT systems used are utilising our resources effectively.
You’ll be an effective communicator, liaising with service managers to ensure clear information is provided around planning, forecasting and scheduling. This will include delivering information at meetings, highlighting recommendations in a clear and understandable format for all levels.

- Strong understanding and experience of resource planning in a contact centre environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office to an intermediate level.
- Track record of promoting value for money and efficiency.
- Proven experience of report writing..
- Knowledge and understanding of the type of repairs undertaken by a direct labour organisation
- Previous experience using Orchard, Microsoft Dynamics or similar software is desirable
It’s be a bonus if you have:
- A relevant professional qualification in resource planning or specific training in this area along with an understanding of Housing.
- Good understanding of the Housing sector and associated services

In return, we offer a salary of £28,159.65 per annum for a 35 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.?
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
