North Yorkshire Home Choice Administrator

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We’re on the lookout for a temporary (12 month contract) North Yorkshire Home Choice Administrator to join our brilliant Customer Experience team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide a first class customer experience across Craven and Ryedale council. We’re in need of someone who can provide administrative support to our NYHC applicants. This will involve collation of medical evidence and providing appropriate banding based on their situation. This is where your skills and experience come into play!

We want to ensure our customers have the best possible experience at Yorkshire Housing. We’re looking for someone who can play a key part in delivering that experience and be responsible for providing a seamless, customer obsessed service. In this role you will be the first point of contact for internal and external NHYC customers. Therefore, you will be key to driving customer satisfaction and ensuring they are at the heart of everything we do!

You’ll be working collaboratively with customers and colleagues across Yorkshire Housing. It’s vital that our customers have the right information at the right time to ensure they start their tenancy in the best way possible.

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for current and future tenants to have a place they’re proud to call home. We’re all about the customer, and our service doesn’t stop once the keys are in the door.

So how will this role support Yorkshire Housing to achieve its organisational objectives? One of our top priorities at Yorkshire Housing is to provide great customer experience! This means we listen to customers in order to meet their expectations and provide targeted support where needed. We will use data and insight to help us take a proactive approach to delivering services.

We’re a dynamic and innovative housing provider, and we’ve got big growth plans (8,000 more homes in the next 8 years to be exact). We need the right people in the right roles to make it happen. Are you interested yet?

What you’ll be getting up to

As a proactive and enthusiastic administrator, you will help to identity documents, verification, collation of medical evidence and award appropriate banding based on their priority need. You will also have the ability to deal with queries escalating from the priority banding and liaising with Craven and Ryedale Council. Demonstrating excellent communication skills, you will liaise with external and internal stakeholders to ensure we are always providing the very best service.

You’ll provide an excellent pro-active customer experience across Craven and Ryedale Council, administrating applications for North Yorkshire Home Choice swiftly to help customers bid for properties as soon as they can.

You’ll need to liaise with Craven and Ryedale Council regarding application queries, health and wellbeing and adaptation requirements

But this isn’t all! This role is so varied we struggled to pick out the main points, but fear not the attached job description goes into more detail so have a read if you fancy!

Sounds good? Here’s what we need from you…

  • Are customer obsessed and put the customer at the forefront of all decisions

What’s in it for you
