Job Introduction

Ey up! Are you an experienced tradesperson looking for a new role, working for an organisation that makes a real difference in peoples’ lives? Well, you’re in the right place, we’re on the lookout for a Multiskilled Operative to join our Empty Homes team! 

How much?   

£31,967.46 per annum  for a 37.5-hour week  

   

What’s in it for me?  

You’ll get 25 days paid annual leave (rising annually to 30) plus Bank Holidays.

You’ll get a van & fuel card (which you don’t need to leave at a depot) but you can only use it for work! So, you’ll need a driving license.   

We’ll supply the latest power tools, but as a tradesperson you’ll already have your own hand tools.

When?    

You’ll work a 37.5 hour week, between 8am and 6pm but we can be flexible with this.   

We do have to look after our customers 24/7, so you’ll be expected to cover a call out service, but don’t worry, there are lots of willing folk helping out, so the rota is flexible and given in advance notice so you can plan around this.   

   

Where?   

Your primary location will be across North Yorkshire and we'd love for you to be based in York, but you may need to travel across the whole of Yorkshire as required.    

   

With who?   

You’ll work with an experienced, dynamic and friendly team across the region, and receive training from our experts to ensure you meet our quality guidelines. Opportunities to upskill yourself with various qualifications and move up the ladder too.  

   

 

Who are we looking for ?   

We’re looking for skilled tradespeople across a various range of trades. Ideally, we are looking for people who can hit the ground running, so you’ll have worked in similar repairs and maintenance roles, great if they have been within social housing, but certainly not a deal breaker! We really just want the skills you can bring to our teams.   

You’ll enjoy interacting with our customers and providing a great service.

The fine print

You must hold a full UK driving license for this role, and a basic DBS check will be required if successful.
