What will I be doing?
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you'll be supporting on operational Health & Safety issues within our Corporate services team, this involves supporting the delivery of health and safety excellence for our People, Finance, IT, Governance and Customer Service Teams. We’ve broken down some key responsibilities here:
Supporting Safety Excellence: Help deliver best-in-class health and safety systems, from risk assessments to safe systems of work, training, coaching, health and safety promotions, inspections, accident/incident prevention and investigations, health and wellbeing programmes and building a great health and safety culture.
Training and Coaching: Work with team leaders to develop health and safety training needs and training plans, deliver health and safety training, toolbox talks, and coaching programmes, ensuring everyone knows how to work safely and feel safe.
Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits, ensuring compliance and promoting accident and incident prevention.
Accident & Incident Support: Help investigate accidents and safety concerns, providing practical solutions to prevent them from happening again.
Collaborative working: You’ll work with our corporate services line managers, team leaders and colleagues in delivering the highest standards of health and safety and promoting safe working practices and safe working environments.
What do you need from me?
- Experience in health and safety advisory roles, ideally in environments like social housing, residential property, or facilities management.
- Knowledge of personal safety, DSE & ergonomics, accident investigations and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strong communication and people skills – you’ll be training and working with colleagues at all levels.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
- Experience using IT systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work on your own initiative.
It would also be great if you hold a Health and Safety Diploma or NVQ Level 6 – with CertIOSH (or NEBOSH General Certificate with evidence of working towards Diploma/NVQ. Take a look at the Role Profile which has lots more details!

This a full-time permanent role with a salary of £43,642.50, 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
