Finance Business Partner

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

We’re looking for a fantastic Finance Business Partner to join our brilliant Finance Planning & Analysis Team. You’ll be joining an innovative housing provider, with ambitious growth plans, so we’re interested in hearing from individuals who think differently and aren’t afraid to bring constructive challenge to the table. You’ll partner with the business to provide financial expertise, commercial insight and influence to maximise value, process development and opportunities in order to help YH achieve its vision

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our vision is to make it possible for current and future tenants to live in a place they’re proud to call home.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll play an important part in advising, guiding and influencing business managers and other internal stakeholders on the management of financial challenges and opportunities. Ensuring that business decisions are underpinned by appropriate financial planning, analysis and expertise.

You’ll carry out financial modelling, scenario planning, business case preparation and option appraisal to support decision making and improve business performance.

Key to this role is managing relationships with business leaders through collaborating, influencing, challenging and negotiating to support the Group in achieving its objectives.   You will in time be working flexibly to support any area of the business necessary and in doing so bring fresh thinking and approaches, identifying better ways of working.

You’ll work closely with our Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, supporting with financial analysis and modelling, and ensuring that the 30-year business plan is updated, scrutinised and understood.  You’ll coach and develop the Associate Business Partner covering the same business area, to drive performance and service delivery.

It’s exciting times here at Yorkshire Housing and there is lots of opportunity to make an impact using your Finance know how.  At Yorkshire Housing, we’re big on growing our own. We’ll give you the tools to be your best self and provide a dynamic working environment.

Sounds good? Here’s what we need from you…

What’s really important is that you’re a people person, with a knack for confident communication, negotiation and building relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll have the ability to translate large and complex data sets into meaningful analysis and value-adding insights for the business.

You’ll be curious, driven, be able to adapt to change and always ready to keep developing yourself and the service.

As well as having an accounting qualification (e.g. Certified or Chartered), experience working in a Finance team as a business partner, your attention to detail will be second to none and you’ll thrive when working under pressure.

Full details and requirements can be found on the attached job description.

What’s in it for you

In return, we offer a salary of £53,365 per annum for a 35-hour week, 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.

We also work (truly) flexibly, and believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go.

But that’s not all. We offer a reward package to suit everyone. At YH, you can claim back for prescriptions, eye tests and more with our cash plan, make the most of a variety of retail discounts and take advantage of our pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%, just to name a few.

Our people’s health and wellbeing is our top priority, and at YH, you can make the most of our readily available wellbeing support package. This includes access to a library of fitness classes, as well as an instant My GP service and free counselling sessions with our employee assistance programme.

So, now you’re really interested?

At Yorkshire Housing, we’re building a work environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where everyone can be themselves. We believe difference is what makes us stronger, so we welcome and encourage candidates from all backgrounds for this role.

We know that not all candidates will meet every single desired requirement. If your experience looks a little different from what we've identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we'd love to learn more about you, please go ahead and apply!
