Finance Business Partner

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Ready to help shape Yorkshire Housing’s financial future?  We’re on the lookout for a skilled finance professional to take the lead on our 30-Year Business Plan – a key part of how we plan, grow, and make decisions. You’ll work with teams across the organisation, using financial modelling and option appraisals to guide important choices and help us move forward.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go. So if you’re after real flexibility and a place where your expertise is valued, this could be just the role for you.

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home, but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives.

We’ve got big plans to overhaul the traditional customer service offer, build new homes that are truly future-proof and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work.

Want to know more about your next challenge?

What will you be doing?

This role is all about leading the development and ongoing management of Yorkshire Housing’s 30-Year Financial Plan. You’ll be at the heart of forecasting, modelling, and analysing financial performance, working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business. As a specialist in business planning, you’ll also play a key role in mentoring and coaching others, helping to build capability across the team.

Other aspects of the role include:

  • Owning and updating the Group’s 30-Year Financial Plan to forecast financial performance and liquidity.
  • Providing insight and analysis to Treasury, Finance, and wider teams to support decision-making.
  • Delivering financial modelling, scenario planning, and option appraisals to improve performance.
  • Coaching Finance Business Partners to strengthen their business planning knowledge.
  • Working with the Treasury Analyst to align cash flow forecasting with the financial plan and investigate variances.
  • Supporting the completion of the annual Financial Forecast Return.
  • Contributing to the delivery of the Group’s wider strategic objectives.

This role is offered on an agile home working contract, giving you the flexibility to work from home. However, there will be times when we’ll ask you to join us in our Leeds workspace for collaboration, team days, and meetings.
