Job Introduction
Environmental Services Team Leader
If you're at your best when you're out and about, leading teams, maintaining high standards and making a visible difference to communities, then this could be just the job for you.
We're looking for an experienced people leader with a strong background in grounds maintenance who can bring together operational know-how, customer focus and a passion for developing others. In return, you'll have the opportunity to shape services that directly impact the places our customers call home and help create neighbourhoods they can be proud of.
What we're all about
Here at Yorkshire Housing our customers are at the heart of what we do – we call it being customer obsessed. In a nutshell we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for our tenants to have a place they're proud to call home.
Creating safe, attractive and well-maintained outdoor spaces is an important part of that mission. As Environmental Services Team Leader, you'll help us deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services, improve communal environments and make sure our customers see the difference every time they step outside their front door. Working with both in-house teams and contractors, you'll have the opportunity to lead services that directly affect the daily lives of thousands of customers. You'll have the autonomy to improve performance, influence service delivery and develop a skilled operational team.
How this role fits with our plans
As we continue to invest in our neighbourhoods and communities, maintaining attractive, safe and sustainable outdoor environments remains a key priority. This role helps us deliver on that commitment by ensuring our grounds maintenance and environmental services are customer focused, efficient, compliant and consistently delivered to a high standard across Yorkshire.
