The role be based from our Bradford depot and will cover the West Yorkshire area.

So, what will I be doing?
You’ll carry out our grounds maintenance function ensuring that all seasonal cuts, flower bed maintenance, control of weeds and renovation to grassed areas and all other associated grounds maintenance are to tip-top standards.
You’ll have responsibility for the daily use and maintenance of all grounds maintenance equipment (strimmer’s, mowers and tractors) and keep accurate records of this.
Occasionally you’ll be carrying out minor works to include fencing, UPVC maintenance as prepared by both property and environmental services and other sections within the company.
As part of this role, you’ll actively participate in the company’s emergency out of hours emergency service, being part of a rota and attending community-based emergency situations along with minor repairs (e.g. flooding, boarding up, etc.).

Here’s what we need from you…
- You’ll have previous experience and skills in this area from a similar role and have knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, including the use of safe machinery and PPE
- A valid UK driving licence is an essential requirement
- Fantastic communication skills – goes without saying!
- You’ll be really capable of using your own initiative and working unsupervised
- We need you to be passionate about offering a quality service!
- A display of many of the relevant behaviours set out in Yorkshire Housing’s Values
It would be a real bonus if you had the following:
- Recognised apprenticeship in horticultural, landscape maintenance, community-based services
- Experience undertaking duties relevant to the post
- Experience of trailer and plant towing

In return, we offer a salary of £25,645.11 per annum for a 37-hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
