Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for a savvy Data Analyst to join our Technology, Insights, and Change team on a 18-month fixed term contract! 

You’ll be working alongside our Data Governance and Business Intelligence teams and working closely with our senior analysts. Your role will be key in the delivery of analysis to drive data improvement across Yorkshire Housing, as well as supporting migration of data to new systems. Business and user needs being at the heart of everything you do.

What you’ll be doing 

•Supporting the delivery of reporting and data management across the organisation

•You’ll support a range of data improvement activities to enhance data quality across corporate systems

•Work with the team to support successful data migration to new systems, developing reconciliation reporting, working with SMEs to complete data profiling and cleansing activities, and conducting testing

•You’ll play a part in the design and build of a suite of data quality reports to help maintain data integrity across the organisation

•Maintain and update all data dictionaries, business definitions and other metadata sources to ensure corporate systems remain well documented

•Contribute to the delivery of key regulatory returns, including data quality monitoring and assurance

•Support the delivery of data change processes, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to embed good data governance practices

So, what do we need from you? 

•Experience of working with complex data across multiple systems or sources

•Experience of manipulating data in a relevant data analysis tool. For example, Microsoft Excel, including creating pivot tables, writing look-up formulae, etc…

•Experience of maintaining and updating data on systems

•A passion for data and a desire to help drive a data-enabled culture across an organisation

•Proven ability to learn new technical and analytical skills, and experience of applying them to changing circumstances 

•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with experience of understanding and meeting customer needs and managing expectations

It would be an added bonus if you had the following:

•Relevant formal qualifications in all things data

•Previous experience working in a regulated environment particularly in Social Housing.

•Experience of data management and the design of reporting and dashboards.

In return, we are offering a  salary of £27,500 per annum for a 35-hour week. 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.

The fine print 

This is an agile homeworking position, but you’ll need to be comfortable travelling to and within Yorkshire as required for the role.
