Job Introduction

Are you on the lookout for a role where you you’ll have the responsibility for the effective day to day quality of our building services operatives specialising in Damp, Mould and Condensation to ensure they are delivering a great customer experience? 

Then look no further! We’re looking for a Damp and Mould Tech Coach that’ll be right up your street.   

 

Here’s some key bits you’ll be getting up to in role.. 

Referral and consultation: Serve as the primary contact for referrals and second opinions from colleagues across Yorkshire Housing, offering your expert technical and operational insights. 

Compliance oversight: Ensure all building services operatives in the damp and mould team adhere to relevant health and safety legislation and building regulations. 

Quality assurance: Conduct sample checks and quality control assessments of operatives, providing fair and consistent evaluations based on agreed criteria. Offer constructive feedback to support continuous improvement and learning. 

Performance support: Collaborate with the team leader to implement and monitor performance management measures. Identify and address performance issues related to technical skills, attitudes, and behaviours, escalating to the team leader when necessary. 

Complaint resolution: Assist in proactively managing and de-escalating potential customer complaints. 

Training and development: Work closely with the Damp and Mould team leader to identify technical training needs. Develop and implement individual improvement strategies, fostering a coaching culture to enhance operatives’ skills and promote continuous improvement. 

Leadership and role modelling: Build trust and serve as a role model for operatives by demonstrating quality, efficiency, compliance, accountability, and a customer-centric approach. Getting stuck in: You’ll also get involved in day-to-day damp, mould and condensation work if needed.

•              You’ll have significant experience undertaking damp, mould and condensation repairs work in a customer facing environment.  

•              You’ll be customer focussed, with an ability to understand and help meet customer expectations and coach this in others. 

•              You’re a real people person and an excellent communicator - you can build trust with others and form strong working relationships based on mutual respect. 

•              You’ll be able to constructively challenge and offer solutions. 

•              You’ll be passionate about developing people and can spot potential in others. 

•              You’ll demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current health and safety best practise. 

•              You have an eye for detail and can identify gaps in quality quickly. 

•              A willingness to learn about reporting, providing reports and learning new systems. 

•              You have a full driving license valid for the UK and willingness to work across Yorkshire.

In return, we offer a salary of £35,261.65 per annum for a 35-hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
