What will you be doing?
As a Tech Coach, you will be reporting to the Environmental Services Team Leader and providing coaching, mentoring and quality checks to our ground's maintenance staff. You will ensure that they follow the compliance and site specifications and deliver high-quality work that meets our customers' expectations.
You will also be involved in improving our internal processes and procedures by conducting quality control audits, implementing and monitoring corrective actions, and managing your workload efficiently. You will not hesitate to challenge colleagues when standards are not met and work with Team Leaders to improve performance.
During the fallow months, you will support and resource the teams that carry out community-based duties, minor repair/maintenance, hard landscaping programs, gritting, snow clearance and upgrade works.

Who are we looking for?
To be a successful Tech Coach, you need to have excellent communication and coaching skills, as well as practical technical knowledge. You will be able to adapt your style to your audience and provide clear and constructive feedback. You will also have a positive attitude and a strong motivation to deliver a fantastic customer service.
We’re also looking for our next Tech Coach to have the following:
Good standard of practical knowledge and skills in the areas of activity and previous experience in similar work
Good level of general education with intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office & Smart devices)
Thorough knowledge of all related H&S regulations and best practice to include safe use of machinery, PPE, COSHH and HAV’s.
Ability to challenge, motivate, coach and influence others
Ability to interpret site audits, data and present management information
Good organisation and time management skills
Ability to prioritise, manage your own workload and to meet deadlines
Willing to undertake any training required
Hold a valid full UK driving license
A display of many of the relevant behaviours set out in Yorkshire Housing’s Values
You must have the ability to work outside normal office hours on an occasional basis and a willingness to respond to occasional out of hours emergency calls
It would be a bonus if you had…
Recognised qualification in horticultural, landscape maintenance, community-based services
Experience undertaking duties relevant to the post
Experience or knowledge of social housing
Experience of supervising in a ground's maintenance setting
Experience of trailer, plant towing, hard landscaping
Holder of CS30/31, CS38/CS39
Holder of a PA1/PA6 license
