Job Introduction
Are you naturally curious and passionate about using data to make a real difference? At Yorkshire Housing, we’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who can work closely with teams across the business to uncover insights that support our mission of providing homes and places to be proud of. If you enjoy asking thoughtful questions, exploring data from every angle, and turning it into clear, actionable information, we’d love to hear from you.
We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go — so if you’re looking for a truly flexible company where you’re valued for what you bring, this could be the role for you!
What we’re all about
You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire, helping current and future customers have a place they’re proud to call home. But we’re also focused on making a positive difference in people’s lives.
We’ve got big plans to transform our customer service offer, build future-proof homes, and empower our people through flexibility and freedom to do their best work. Our investment in technology is a key part of our strategy, and our change team is working on exciting, complex programmes to deliver a pre-emptive customer experience — and we’d love you to be part of it.
What will you be doing?
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be part of a supportive team of five analysts reporting into our BI & Analytics Manager, working together to turn data into insights that help the business make smarter decisions. You’ll collaborate with teams across the organisation to understand their challenges and spot opportunities where data can add real value. Using tools like Power BI and AI, you’ll explore the data, ask the right questions, and translate complex information into clear, practical insights that people can act on.
You’ll help build a strong data-enabled culture by making information more accessible, reliable, and engaging. It’s also a great opportunity to keep developing your skills in analytics and emerging technologies, and to help shape how data is used across the organisation.
The role comes with an agile homeworking contract, so you’ll be able to work from home much of the time. However, you’ll need to have the flexibility to travel into Leeds as and when we need you — whether that’s for team collaboration, co-working, or key meetings.
Already feel this is the role for you? There’s more useful information in the Role Profile!
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting, who can translate business needs into actionable insights. You’ll be confident working with tools like Power BI and Excel, and passionate about helping Yorkshire Housing build a data-enabled culture.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable experience of interpreting business requirements and translating them into actionable reporting or analytical solutions
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to explore data deeply, identify patterns, and generate meaningful insight
- Proven experience of gathering requirements from stakeholders, including the ability to elicit key information, challenge assumptions, and clarify business needs
- Demonstrable experience of delivering dashboard and reporting solutions with a focus on usability and scalability rather than technical depth
- A passion for data and a desire to help drive a data-enabled culture across the organisation.
What’s in it for you…
This a full-time, fixed term (12 months) role with a salary of £42,555.36 per annum, for a 35 hour week plus 26 days annual leave (rising annually to 31 days) plus Bank Holidays.
