Job Introduction
At Yorkshire Housing we want customers to be proud of where they live. We know that customers value seeing our teams out and about and customers want us to pick up any issues, especially when it comes to anti-social behaviour, without them needing to call us. So, we’re growing our Anti-Social Behaviour & Tenancy Enforcement Team, which means we’re on the lookout for an ASB Enforcement and Tenancy Officer to join the team on an initial 9 month fixed term contract.
This a truly great opportunity and we're looking for someone who is great at tackling neighbourhood issues. You'll be able to take on the most complex and challenging cases and progress them through to the courtroom. It's an important role and one that is very important to our customers to support them to have homes and places to be proud of.
Ok sounds good so far…
We’re looking for people who enjoy being out and about talking to customers and listening to their feedback. You’ll need to relish the opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives, and you’ll be a bit obsessed about solving problems and delivering results.
We’re about innovation and we want to do the traditional bits that customers love but we also use tech to support how we work. You’ll know how to manage social housing tenancies but you’ll also #becurious about different ways to do things that deliver great results.
We don’t have offices – we Hub, Home and Roam – this role is mostly about the roaming. We’ll give you some great kit so that you can work on the go and at home and you’ll be able to make use of our fantastic hubs across Yorkshire, with the main hub being in Leeds!
What do you need from me?
- You'll have detailed knowledge of anti-social behaviour case management principles.
- You'll have experience of managing complex anti-social behaviour cases through to resolution.
- You'll have ability to write detailed and complex written accounts in such formats as witness statements, reports and action plans.
- You'll have a good knowledge of housing and anti-social behaviour legislation and be able to use all legal powers available, without the need for legal support, to deliver quick and value for money outcomes.
- And you'll be able to present ASB and tenancy breach cases at court without support from solicitors.
Ok now I’m definitely interested? What do I do now?
If you can say yes to the following statements, we’d like to hear from you.
- I’ve got experience managing social tenancies
- I’ve got a track record of achieving results for customers
- I’m great at prioritising and managing my time
- I take ownership and responsibility
- I am confident and comfortable taking cases to court and working in legal settings and adhering to frameworks

Click apply and tell us all about why you’re the perfect fit for Yorkshire Housing based on the statements above. This role is so varied and exciting we really did struggle picking out the main bits - but fear not, the Role Profile attached gives you all the info you need.
This role sounds perfect, so what's in it for me?
This role is a full time, 9 month fixed term contract. We offer a salary of £36,340.59 plus £2,000 car allowance per annum for a 35-hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays. We also work (truly) flexibly, and believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go.
But that’s not all. We offer a reward package to suit everyone. At YH, you can claim back for prescriptions, eye tests and more with our cash plan, make the most of a variety of retail discounts and take advantage of our pension scheme where we’ll match your contributions up to 9%, just to name a few.
Our people’s health and wellbeing is one of our top priorities, and you can make the most of our readily available wellbeing support package. This includes access to a library of free fitness classes, as well as an instant My GP service and free counselling sessions with a trained professional.
So, now you’re really interested?
At YH, we’re actively building a work environment that’s inclusive as well as diverse, where everyone can contribute their best work and be themselves. If you’re applying for this role internally, you must inform your current Line Manager. Also, as this role is one where you'll be out and about, you'll need for a full UK driving license and use of a car for business purposes. FYI – this role requires a basic DBS check too.
